Certainty 03:17
You nearly lost it all Sane and still voice fading And was it worth the fall? Generous but only take Maintain appearances Presenting a white-washed tomb But he can still see you Transparent and foredoomed Hear the ancient call Silent once for all Steps are taken Words forsaken Bearing my own pall The procession begins And forgive us our sins Neverending uncertainty Of this mortality The great and shining train Clothed in full disguises The mare of Golder’s Green Blinding till the end And as I look upon her Will this wrong road perish? Make this spell unwind New clarity of mind Hear the ancient call Silent once for all Steps are taken Words forsaken Bearing my own pall Dancing, the flowers thrown before her Concentric rings spreading ever farther Envelop me and take me, washing over Kill it now and take me ever onward
2.
Beyond the forest Ascending the blue Glowing sky breaking through Celestial darkness Burning suns, giving life Nebula casting the seeds Generations of strife Crown of the eons, is every new birth Towering structures, crashing down to the earth Destruction is waning, the particles fading Dark clouds are lifting, a new world begins Forge of the ancients Suspended in time Shifting in colors And testing finite minds The call of the void In seeking endless sight The arrow ever onward Acceptance of our mortal plight As galaxies rise Extinction ordained by their might The constant holds true Ripping apart, torn in two Creation marches on Casting constellations The spell of man made visions A quantum force behind the curtain Expanse of the ages The boundary is blurred The past lost to races Between atoms undeterred The chasm is deep By virtue or design The mysteries before us Swallowing eternity and time Crown of the eons, is every new birth Towering structures, crashing down to the earth Destruction is waning, the particles fading Dark clouds are lifting, a new world begins
3.
Abyss 03:03
Decide, once and for all The killer in you Which voice is true Light dies Whenever you try Pass the torch to carry on the fight But I see Endless faces, staring through me Fading slowly No This is the unquenchable thirst For never ending power Unquenchable Here lies the unfathomable mistake And the blood shall run How can I ever begin to forgive For my own sake When all I’ve ever known An eye for an eye Buried between the tombs The childhood dreams before we knew Political ambitions Power-fueled addictions For all that we have strived Standing on the edge of the knife These streams flow on Til the headwater is gone And descending carrion Pick the flesh from the weak and the strong So build the memorial To utopia euphorial Gallows filling the streets Bring the despots to their knees
4.
Last Rites 02:53
Eyes are deserts on this day Talvisota makes its fall The right to mourn The right to follow Burning ones, blackened sun Wilting, the flowers Silenced, the birds Footsteps freeze Regions devoured Stepping forth on darkened moon White coat in the frosted night Wooden gloves are greening Fir trees, burning candles Children, singing sweetly Thanking God, be our guest Accepting gifts of life and death Hautakiveen kaiverrettu Kohta jo aikasi odottaa Kahden metrin syvyydessä Ikuisuuden hiljaisuus And now, our redeemer Snow in mane Carries the last rites and the scythe Bringing forth the light I see the sower sowing In the trail of falling shells I hear the women mourning This man-made glimpse of hell Bombs burst beneath the rising sun Burning, our frostbitten lungs Suomi tries to overcome Caught between eastern, western guns Blue and white flows ever stronger Can we hold out any longer Lead the reds to their slumber Defenders becoming the hunters
5.
Sanctuary 03:33
Falling from grace Deceiving left weak from it all I’m trailing, in this race Coming, slowly to a crawl Violent powers Infecting the minds of men Malevolent forces Luring and trapping me once again Assaulting, the fortress Sanctuary of inner peace Heart’s sole desire Ripping apart, piece by piece Oh Once and for all Comes the final fall Hope for the hopeless As distant as foreign shores Weighed down and encumbered Fading strength to fight this war Resist the desire to be misled Bankrupted compassion, repay the debt Unravel the veil by pulling the thread Find purpose in struggle, for the living, and the dead Barren, but your voice pierces through the din In a moment, I’m feeling alive again
6.
Go! Between the bright horizon And darkest depths No rest for souls Left weak and bleeding With special pleading Between the heart and the mind This indecision, procrastinate the time Each is pulling stronger, feel the tearing rope Cast aside this yoke See these manufactured dreams, torn at the seams Decades of uncertainty, fall of the old regime Resisting the form of the mold Following the script like a clone Better days, not like the ones before Taking chances, knocking at death’s door Withering outrage, casting aside The inner debate, truth in the lies Silence the voices Conviction soon replaces the fear Escaping the wasteland, of my design Scorch the earth, change the mind Burying habits, the poisonous seed Entombed, unable to mislead Between the dark horizon And endless depths A growing hope Once weak and bleeding Now never ceding Between the versions of you Through self destruction, end this disfunction And this impending doom, once ever-present Now failing to torment See these manufactured dreams, torn at the seams Decades of uncertainty, fall of the old regime Escaping the wasteland, of my design Scorch the earth, change the mind Burying habits, the poisonous seed Entombed, entombed, unable to mislead
7.
Blinding 03:17
No Searching for moments Moments of joy But none to be found My hope turns to despair These are the darkest of times What shall befall us? Or shall we see the light of dawn? Such trifles as these I treasure so dear Worthless and fleeting Scattered by the wind they fall In this darkness I give you my sight Take these eyes and see through me You’ve held me Throughout misery, fear Throughout years and tears Lying in wait Hope for the moments Hope for the day These are the darkest of times my love Cling to me now Lest we part
8.
Retrograde 03:16
Taking flight Choosing violence, to despise Through these eyes Ever seeking genocide One nation’s soaring hatred Ambivalence in truth Kinetic conscience tearing flesh What’s left for me and you? Two brothers In struggle Love lost generations past At the hands of the madman Apocalypse is cast The reaper’s song Waits for no one Blood fills the soil Indifferent for whom All for one and one for all Dear leader’s living room Two brothers In struggle Each holding to the last At the hands of the madman Apocalypse is cast The reaper’s song Waits for no one Striving for future days of peace When charred fields turn black to green
9.
You, you are the light in the darkness Hope of the hopeless And flame on Everlasting Never fading And on and on and on Though the gates of hell And death do us part No curse of man Nor depth of hate shall prevail You are the light in the darkness Hope of the hopeless And flame on Everlasting Never fading And on and on and on Hear now my child What hast thou done Cursed is the earth By the blood of my hand you are spared Yet banished to death For I have numbered your days When all that you hoped for And all that you thought was good is gone Now blood has been spilled, Shed for me this night Will I take the cup? Before me Drifting deeper into dreams the madness of night Blinding light descending am I just insane? Ever have I longingly sought you Ever have I called out your name Ever have I patiently waited Stone heart prevailing, why will you not hear? Forces of the darkness transpire to control Feeling you near me, I start to unfold Temple of your heart now awakens Drawing, mending, calling, calling you home Longing of your heart now The cup lies before me Moment of moments Hope of the hopeless The light in the dark
